RoadQuest
Privacy Policy

RoadQuest is a family road-trip companion designed to work without an account. Core gameplay works offline, and family trip, game, and journal data stays on your device. RoadQuest has no ads, tracking, or analytics SDK.
Information stored on your device
RoadQuest stores your family setup, Adventures, journal entries, game progress, Travel Map progress, collected places and plates, badges, postcards, preferences, and local Deluxe ownership record on your device. RoadQuest does not provide cloud sync, public profiles, a social feed, or public user-generated content.
You can use Erase Everything in RoadQuest Settings to delete RoadQuest gameplay and family data from the device. Deleting the app also removes its local app data, subject to the device platform's normal backup and deletion behavior. Apple keeps its own purchase records under Apple's policies.
Accounts, advertising, and device permissions
RoadQuest does not require an account or sign-in. It does not include an advertising SDK, tracking, an App Tracking Transparency prompt, an analytics SDK, or IDFA use. RoadQuest does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, or photo library.
RoadQuest Deluxe and purchase verification
Apple processes App Store purchases and payment information. RoadQuest does not receive your full payment-card details. To grant or restore RoadQuest Deluxe, the app may send Apple-signed StoreKit transaction information, including JWS material, to the RoadQuest purchase-verification service over the internet. The service checks Apple's signature and confirms that the transaction belongs to the RoadQuest app and Deluxe product, then returns a verification result to the app.
The verifier has no RoadQuest user accounts or RoadQuest purchase database. Its application code does not intentionally retain raw purchase tokens, transaction identifiers, or decoded transaction payloads after returning the result. The hosting provider may process and retain limited technical request information as described below.
When RoadQuest uses the internet
Core gameplay works offline after the app is installed. Buying or restoring RoadQuest Deluxe requires an internet connection for StoreKit and purchase verification. Opening RoadQuest support or privacy links also requires an internet connection.
Support and feedback
If you email RoadQuest for support, feedback, or questions, RoadQuest receives your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. Please do not send purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, or other sensitive information. Support messages are retained only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Service providers and technical logs
Apple provides App Store purchasing and signed transaction information. Vercel hosts the RoadQuest purchase verifier and these public pages. Google provides the email service used for RoadQuest support. These providers may process ordinary technical information, such as IP address, request path, time, response status, device or browser details, and operational logs, as needed to deliver, secure, and maintain their services under their own terms and privacy policies. RoadQuest does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
Children and family use
RoadQuest is designed for families to use together. It does not ask children to create an account, publish content, or provide personal information to RoadQuest. A parent or guardian should handle support communications and decide what family information is entered on the device.
Retention and deletion
RoadQuest gameplay data remains on the device until you erase it or remove the app. The purchase verifier processes each request without creating a RoadQuest account or saving it in a RoadQuest database. Vercel may retain limited technical logs for security and operations according to its service configuration and policies. You may ask RoadQuest to delete a support conversation by contacting the address below, subject to legal, security, and fraud- prevention retention needs.
Changes to this policy
If RoadQuest's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected before they apply to a new app release where appropriate.
